Nate at Ultra Running Company told me that Poston was the best vert per mile in the Queen City – not sure why I hadn’t tried it until now. It is one kick-ass hill with about 450 feet of vertical gain in 0.6 miles. There is some hands and feet scrambling but the majority of the climb is hands on your knees power hiking. It’s perfect training for Quest for the Crest! Just 4 laps yesterday but some quality power training.
